A Second Chipotle Opens on South Irby Street August 19

If you live on the south side of Florence and have been driving across town for a burrito bowl, that trip is about to get shorter.

Chipotle opens its second Chipotle location on Wednesday, August 19, at 2037 South Irby Street. It sits next to the old Salvation Army Thrift Store, across from Chick-fil-A and the Walmart Supercenter, so it is easy to find. The first Florence Chipotle, over on David H. McLeod Boulevard near Magnolia Mall, is not going anywhere. This one just gives the south side its own.

The new spot is the first in Florence to have a Chipotlane. That is Chipotle's name for a drive-thru lane built for digital orders. You order ahead in the app or online, pull around, and pick up your food without leaving the car. There is no speaker or menu board to order from in the lane, so the app order comes first.

Hours are 10:45 in the morning to 10 at night, every day.

If you go in the first weeks, you can try their new honey chicken, a limited-time protein they are rolling out. The rest of the menu is the usual build-your-own bowls, burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, plus family meals if you would rather feed the whole house at home.
